Theme

Our story began with a single stitch.

Fineshore Loom was founded in 2019 in the coastal town of Mendocino by two former magazine editors who believed knitting deserved the same attention to craft as fine art or literature. What started as evening workshops in a converted boathouse has grown into a globally recognized studio shaping the future of meaningful making.

Our mission

We exist to give makers the editorial-grade knowledge, technical precision, and creative courage they need to turn yarn into heirlooms. Every course we publish undergoes the same rigorous review we once applied to print pages: clarity, beauty, and lasting usefulness.

Editorial philosophy

We treat each pattern as a small book. Step-by-step photography, exhaustive swatching, and clear schematics replace vague instructions. Our goal is to eliminate the frustration that stops many knitters before they reach the finishing line.
